EcoVoices Ambassador are youth leaders from all around the world who help distribute our pamphlets, host local and virtual events, promote on social media, help translate materials, and expand access to climate education in their communities. Our ambassador network spans 7+ countries and represents the global reach of EcoVoices. They play a pivotal role in achieving EcoVoices' mission of growing environmental literacy rates and increasing awareness about climate change.

Agum Manuella Okello Elizabeth
Uganda
Agum Manuella Okello Elizabeth is a 16-year-old Ugandan youth advocate, published poet, and writer committed to advancing disability inclusion, youth empowerment, and social impact. She is the founder of Shared Ground Uganda, a disability advocacy initiative dedicated to amplifying neurodivergent and disabled voices, the founder of Mstari Global Magazine, a youth-led platform that elevates diverse perspectives and stories, and the co-founder of the W.H.O.L.E. Foundation.
Beyond leading her own initiatives, Manuella actively volunteers with several youth- and community-led organizations. She is a U-Reporter and an active Model United Nations (MUN) participant, using research, advocacy, storytelling, and dialogue to champion inclusion and inspire meaningful change.

Specific Environmental Issues I Care About: The air is polluted to the point that not all the cars are allowed to be driven every day. There’s a system where depending on the car license plates, there are 2 specific days during the week where the car remains stopped. Also, when you go out, you can see trash on the floor every day, especially near the roads, Some of that trash ends up inside the strainers, which triggers terrible floods during rain.
Why I Joined EcoVoices: You never know the impact you can reach on other people by just doing small things, and environmental issues are something that involve and affect not only all of us, but also future generarations. That’s why I’ll never know the real impact I have during my time as an EcoVoices ambassador, where the information given may be heared by future generations, and that’s something magical.

Specific Environmental Issues I Care About: In my country, especially in Lima and Callao, some important environmental issues include air pollution, waste management, and plastic pollution. In my school, there is also a constant issue with waste accumulation and limited recycling practices, which affects the cleanliness of the environment. As someone who wants to study medicine and has been interested in biology since childhood, I am especially concerned about how environmental issues can affect people’s health
Why I Joined EcoVoices: I joined EcoVoices because I am passionate about environmental awareness and I believe young people can play an important role in driving change through education and communication. I am especially interested in contributing to a youth-led initiative that connects students from different countries and allows us to share local perspectives. I would love to represent Peru and bring attention to the environmental challenges we face, while also learning from other students around the world and growing through collaboration and creative outreach.

Specific Environmental Issues I Care About: I care about poor waste management, plastic pollution, flooding caused by clogged drains, and the impacts of climate change. Improper disposal of waste often leads to pollution in streets, waterways, and public spaces. During the rainy season, blocked drainage systems can contribute to severe flooding, affecting homes and communities. Climate change is also becoming increasingly important, as it influences weather patterns, agriculture, and water availability. I believe these issues require both greater awareness and collective action, especially among young people.
Why I Joined EcoVoices: I joined EcoVoices because I believe young people have an important role to play in addressing environmental challenges. EcoVoices provides a platform to educate, inspire, and empower communities through accessible information and youth-led action. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful initiative, learn from other environmentally conscious students, and help spread awareness about sustainability issues. Through this program, I hope to encourage more young people to take action and become responsible stewards of the environment.

Specific Environmental Issues I Care About: I care about the United States' massive factory farming problem, which contributes large amounts of pollutant runoff to underdeveloped communities, mistreats animals, and causes 94% of the country’s obesity and health issues.
Why I Joined EcoVoices: I want to help contribute to spreading awareness about environmental issues in my community, as I’m growing increasingly frustrated about the negligence in environmentally focused policy being passed in my state.
